Stuff I'm reading today
It's a travel day as I'm away on assignment through Monday. I have downloaded through my aggregator some interesting stories to read; I may get back to these later.
- I've been following with interest the discussion of the new Economic Freedom index and Doing Business 2006. Political Calculations has some interesting tables comparing the two.
- Have you followed CentCom's "What Extremists are Saying?" It's insightful. It's MEMRI on steroids, with badder guys.
- Mrs. Scholar is a new fan of Nihilist in Golf Pants. Last night's episode, penned to Penn, was good enough I could hear her laughing across the house and up a floor.
- I watched the President's speech last night, and unlike most of my NARN brethren I wasn't so pleased. An "FDR/LBJ" speech just doesn't do much for me, thanks. Hedge Fund Guy explains the implications of Crisis and Leviathan. Pragmatism is the first refuge of the scoundrel that wants to spend OPM.
