Very late and a long flight later, I'll just post a few links to things we've been talking about.
- Signifying Nothing has a rundown of what's going on at U. Southern Mississippi. President "Ten of Diamonds" Thames is in full froth.
- Minnesota Education Reform News covers the growing debate over the confirmation of education commissioner Cheri Pierson Yecke, who's the subject of competing petitions. Odd, says The Owl, for what are usually nonpartisan appointments. Former DFL governor Wendell Anderson concurs.
- Not covered before but tremendously sad for me as a graduate, the Claremont Colleges are facing down a hate crime against one of its own faculty. Apparently it's the latest of several incidents at the undergraduate schools. With its more federal system of administration, it should be interesting to see how the schools react to these events.
- And John Kalb asks if it seems unseemly for a newspaper to have a link on its webpage to a paper mill? (Hat tip: Eugene Volokh.)
