Sorry to be so late today -- utterly brutal day of all administration and no research and no time for blogging. So here's a potpurri of articles to look at while I dig up some other stuff.
- Courtesy of Joanne Jacobs, an interesting article on what white kids feel when they are in the minority in a school. There is a focus on why the minority Caucasian teens hang out together; is this any different than when minority black college students want their own dorms and multicultural student centers? I found that part more interesting than the report that the NAACP opposed the creation of a Caucasian Club.
- A reprint in the campus paper from the Seattle Times on whether college is really worth the price? Again, the question is whether we are talking the return on a degree or on an education.
- Erin O'Connor is covering new stupidity from Brooklyn College -- these guys are fit to run SCSU! And now the first victim of the collegiality criterion, KC Johnson, is a blogger himself. Welcome to the club, good sir!
More as I can.
